Philosophy

My approach to well-being combines elements of science and evidence-based psychotherapy with ancient healing drawn from a variety of oral and written sources.  While I respect the benefits offered by prescription medications for mental health, and I collaborate whole-heartedly with prescribing physicians and psychiatrists–herbal, behavioral, and energy interventions provide valid alternatives that may partially or wholly replace prescription medications for the difficulties I may help you with. We live in a world torn between grasping and aversion, long standing family difficulties, and cultural conflicts, with drugs, alcohol, and compulsive activity seemingly offering some temporary and often problematic relief, compounding the original difficulty. I am here to help in whatever way I can, within the requests and limitations of your own personal situation, unique to you and your needs.
